▶ Example — a good back-view delivery clip
- Back View Only: Record directly from behind the stumps (a little further behind the umpire's perspective). The video must capture the run-up, delivery stride, and ball release. Clear match broadcast or streaming footage works perfectly. It should not be a slow-motion video as that adds size to the video and makes no difference when analyzed.
- Perfect Camera Stability: Use a tripod or a fixed mount. Any sudden camera movement, panning, or handheld shaking will distort the tracking data and invalidate your results.
- Single Delivery Limits: Trim the video down to show exactly one ball from the start of the run-up to the release. Ensure the total file size is under 25 MB.
- Clear Line of Sight: Keep the frame completely clear. No other players, umpires, or objects should pass in front of the bowler or block the camera's view during the delivery. The batters and umpires can remain in the video however.
- Lighting: Make sure the region is brightly lit so the computer can accurately capture all the body angles and biomechanical data.
